Striving for Gold
When I first started out with McDonald’s, there was a lot to do. The board had charged me with a number of tasks, with the main task being the re-branding of the McDonald’s image. Talk about setting objectives, we sat down and went through a step-by-step process of identifying all the tasks we needed to achieve and then set out a plan to systematically achieve each one of them. We are not there yet, but having the steps along the way allows us to have some small victories and that definitely keeps people motivated.
Peter Bush – CEO McDonald’s
