Performance under pressure

What is the difference between good and great?

They are able to produce these skills consistently under pressure!

I will be the first to admit I hated the process he (Gavin) put us through to develop our ability to perform under pressure. But in hindsight having experienced what we did and seen our ability to continue to shoot good arrows allowed me to pull through in matches I would have normally lost and ultimately was part of a puzzle that ended in a bronze medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004.

Have you ever been in a situation when you have simply not been able to produce a skill set which you have previously mastered? The performing under pressure workshop explores the behaviours and cognition's which prevent us from achieving success under pressure. The workshop will highlight:

  • The difference between performing the same skill in a benign environment and a pressured one
  • The Olympic skills needed to overcome the pressures of the corporate world
  • The obstacles to effective performance and techniques Olympians have used to overcome them

In this intensive half-day program you will gain ..
  • Skills in creating an ideal performance state
  • Ability to practice within an experiential setting
  • Understanding of behavioural components of performing under pressure
  • Understanding of the Olympic thought processes to challenge cognitive distortions
  • Skills to work through those tough situations
  • Tips and tricks used by Olympic athletes

The workshop utilises both experiential modules and discovery based maps.
